Brooks Shaw’s Old Country Store Invites Guests to Experience the Polar Express this Christmas Season

Jackson, Tennessee — (Dec. 5, 2023) — Brooks Shaw’s Old Country Store Invites Guests to experience Polar Express, a magical time for the whole family that includes games, crafts, hot cocoa, cookies, pictures with Santa and more. 

Events will be held Friday nights - Dec. 8, Dec. 15 and Dec. 22 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and Saturday mornings on Dec. 2, Dec. 9, Dec. 16 and Dec. 23 from 8:30-11 a.m. Tickets are $10 for children ages 2-10 and $15 for children and adults 11 years and up; children under 2 are free. Tickets must be purchased in advance at the Casey Jones Home & Railroad or online at caseyjones.com/store/events/

Pictures with Santa will also take place at the Old Country Store from 2-4 p.m. on Dec. 9, Dec. 16 and Dec. 23. Bring your camera and come take pictures with Santa in the Gift Shop!

Guests should be aware of special hours of operation during the holiday season. Old Country Store will be closing at 6 p.m. on Dec. 23, closing at 3 p.m. on Dec. 24, fully closed on Dec. 25-26 and closing at 6 p.m. on Dec. 31. 

The breakfast buffet will be open every day that the store is open in December. Breakfast is served Monday through Thursday from 7:30-10 a.m., Friday and Saturday from 6:30-10 a.m. and Sunday from 8-10 a.m.  

Brooks Shaw’s Old Country Store is a multi-faceted destination. Located at 56 Casey Jones Lane in Jackson, Tennessee, it encompasses the restaurant, Miss Anne’s Ice Cream Shoppe, Miss Juanita’s Gift Shop, and the Dixie Café Takeout or Dine-In. The establishment is gearing up to celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2025.
