Loved Ones Find Time for Connection Through Brooks Shaw’s Old Country Store February Events  

Jackson, Tennessee – (Jan. 30, 2024) – The weather outside may be cold, but the warm hearts at Old Country Store and Casey Jones Village continue to serve their community with a calendar full of February events designed to bring people together.  

Continuing Mondays at 10:30 a.m., Craft Camp will welcome children ages 0-10 to the Jackson Room of the Casey Jones Museum for a time of seasonal crafts and light refreshments. Children will be creating paper plate walruses Feb. 5, cardinal handprints Feb. 12, melted snowmen Feb. 19 and cotton ball penguins Feb. 26.  

Every Tuesday afternoon, live music will be offered during lunch in the Delta Room from 12-1 p.m. Featured performers this month include Just Us Feb. 6, Justin White Feb. 13, Lindsey Russell Feb. 20 and Steve Patterson Feb. 27. 

Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. welcome children to the Jackson Room of the Casey Jones Museum for Storybook Station. This month’s stories include “Harold Loves His Wooly Hat” Feb. 7, “Clifford the Big Red Dog Valentines” Feb. 14, “Thomas Gets a Snow Plow” Feb. 21 and “Sunshine and Snowballs” Feb. 28. 

Every Thursday morning from 9-10 a.m., the Delta Room is host to Testimonies at the Table. This free event invites Guests to enjoy a time of fellowship and hear personal testimonies from guest speakers. 

Live dinner music is available from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Friday evenings in the Delta Room. Guests can enjoy the musical stylings of Michael Avery Feb. 2, Nathan Mann Feb. 9, Daniel McClain Feb. 16 and Brandon Kirk Feb. 23.  

This month will also offer some special opportunities for Guests to enjoy. On Wednesday, Feb. 7, visitors can take advantage of free admission to the Casey Jones Museum all day. 

Old Country Store is also excited to host the fourth annual Valentine’s Day Celebration at Providence House Wednesday, Feb. 14. This popular event invites loved ones to enjoy a unique dining experience in the historic 1837 Providence House, including a four-course meal, for $150 per couple (plus tax). Two seatings are offered at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Brooks Shaw’s Old Country Store is a multi-faceted destination.
